NARRATIVE:

Sgt Chapman plus twenty one were requested to assist Bowland Pennine MRT (BPMRT) in the search for Mr. Gordon Hamilton, who was reported missing while walking in the Gisburn forest on the 30 Oct 94. BPMRT and SARDA had searched most of the night with no result and requested our assistance for a first light search. Mr. Hamilton was located at 0945 by a BPMRT search team in a clearing deep in the forest, cold and exhausted but luckily walking as he weighed 25 stone. He was evacuated by Landrover to the police control.

OTHER FORCES INVOLVED:

R129, Bowland Pennine MRT, Rossendale MRT, SARDA, Lancashire Police.

  1. Hi Trevor, Thanks for pointing that out. For some reason I had added it to two places. I have now deleted the version that was in 1978. I need someone to keep an eye on me!!
