Comment on equipment: Operational efficiency crippled by unserviceability of Handi Cambridge (TER1 26044/1A) and GR479 HF radio.  
Narrative:
Police requested a further search in reference to missing Walker searched for 1.7.76. A further clue was provided by a hill party finding a pair of socks (identified as the missing persons’) map ref SL115/ 622 628. A protracted search was carried out with over 100 personnel and revealed nothing. After week’s intensive search and investigation, the police have now ceased the search.
