  Narrative      At 2230 on the 5th January team was informed by NRCC that the Police at Aviemore had requested that KMRT be used for a first light search for a missing climber in the Northern Corries area of the Cairngorms.  Left Kinloss 0430 Fri 6, for a briefing at Glenmore Lodge. GR36/987095 at 0600 hrs. Informed that Juan Lorenzo age 23 a Spaniard from Madrid, had set out by himself to climb in the Northern Corries of the Cairngorms. He was an experienced climber with credited climbs in the Alps and South America.  When he failed to return his girlfriend Alerted the Aviemore police at 2135 on Thurs 5. At 0655 three teams of KMRT’s set off to search block GR36/9802-0204. Helo rescue 37 landed at Glenmore Lodge at 0800 hrs. At 0840 after briefing Helo Rescue 37 took off with one KMRT on board to search area of Strath Nethy. At 0843. hrs, missing climber located at GR36/021105 Bynack Stable and. flown to  Glenmore Lodge. At the debrief he was found to be uninjured. His story was; he went into Corie An Sneachda GR36/995033 and climbed Central Gully a Grade one climb. At the top of the climb the mist had now come down, as he had no map or compass he wandered about the Cairngorm Plateau half the night, he then dropped down beside Loch Avon and by chance found the path through Strath Nethy. KMRT returned back to Kinloss 1200 06 Jan.   Comms. were poor on the hill on HF and VHF due +6 as yet AN, undiscovered fault.
