 Crampons: The non-adjustable crampons caused some problems, and we urgently need the new adjustable ones.

NARRATIVE: On 10th March 1974 a party of 4 climbers became lost descending off Ben Nevis, 2 of them had fallen and the remaining pair managed to raise the alarm. Lochaber MRT had recovered 1 body overnight and the police had requested assistance in the recovery of the 2nd body.  By following a trail of kit up the corrie the body was located on a small ledge.  The body was lowered 500’ accompanied by the Team Leader FS Reeve where the rest of the team were waiting. The casualty was transferred to a stretcher and then carried off via the waterside. Team RTB.
