John Coull – Leuchars 1971-78 Kinloss, 1978-83 St. Athan, 1983-86 Kinloss, 1986-2008 – RIP

John (JC) Coull

It is with great sadness we have to announce the passing of another Troop, John (JC) Coull who served with the teams at Leuchars 1971-78, Kinloss 1978-83, St. Athan 1983-86, Kinloss 1986-2008.

John was the longest continuous serving member of the MRS.  As can be seen from his team records he served for 36 years and 11 months without a break in service.

Throughout his service John was a well respected Troop and will be missed by all who new him.

Our condolences go out to his family.

  1. Well J C good send off ,lots of faces from long times past, especially another two brats that arrived with you Kevin and Scotty, had a wee crack with Skelson a day or so afterwards and generaly agreed you were/are a good chap Will miss you.

  2. What can we say? – JC – everybody knew JC – he joined Leuchars in 71 so I knew him for about 15 Months till I was Demobed. From the time he arrived it was clear that he was an exceptional troop – fit – strong – easy going – good sense of humour – you name it JC had it. I met him again at various re unions and he did not seem to change too much – always good company. His length of service is remarkable – I don’t even know of anyone who was in the Air Force for that long – never mind MR. A sad loss to his Family MR and the world
RIP JC – you were one in a row pal.
